So it is now the season for mission calls. I am so excited to see these kids that I have
known since they were little, now take the big leap to go on missions.
My nephew, Tanner, put in his papers a couple of weeks
ago, and yesterday he got his call in the mail.
He wanted to have a big party, so they called many friends and family to
come over to hear him read his letter.
Cameron and Quinn were able to make it, even with their busy
schedules. Then they skyped with Taylor
and Cassi and everyone was waiting.
Tanner got up to read the letter and announced that he
would be going to the Columbia Barranquilla Mission. It was fun to see the huge smile on his face
and all the excitement. What a moment –
to discover where you will be serving for the next 2 years. He will go to the MTC in Columbia and report
on August 3rd. Tanner will be
a great missionary. He is a hard worker
and knows how to be diligent and follow the rules. And most importantly, he has a strong
testimony.
Corey is meeting with the Stake President tomorrow and
then it will be our turn to wait. By the
end of the summer, all of my brothers and me will have one missionary out in
the field. This may be the only time
that happens, so it is pretty exciting.
I love that all of these kids are willing and able to serve.
